Risk Management of Bored Piling Construction on Sandy Soils with Real-Time Cost Control

In a global society, in which geotechnical projects are increasingly designed country other than the one where construction takes place, risk management must be extended to cover infrastructure works, smaller dams and tunnels, for example, since there is significant impact on works budget imponderables. Therefore, methodology based likelihood of occurrence certain events their economic consequences proposed, applicable bored piles (Kelly drilled) coarse soils, easy use, simple implement initial stage construction. Of 12 case studies involving carried out Luanda (Angola), two selected examples proposed sandy soil layers with interbedded clays discussed. Subsequently, whether overall foundation contract affected by assessed determined, what influence it has light mitigating factors associated real costs. This method intended encourage adaptation sustainable site project managers, analysis concurrently budgetary review. Though level technical may acceptable, costs question not acceptable.
